Buenos Aires - Bars
Here cocktails are called "tragos", remember that when you order something to drink!
This place has an incredible style! Low lights, candles, lanterns and a bizarre choice in forniture (from medieval to ethnic) allow it to be both cool on a Saturday night and chill on a Wednesday night. The terrace is the highlight of Rey de Copas but be sure to get there early since it can get pretty crowded. The music upstairs is usually different and more ideal for a party-night. The cocktails are of high quality and not too expensive. Range between 90-160AR$!
This is the bar where sooner or later everyone ends up at. The atmosphere is rather chill, letting you choose between tables underneath a light roof, stools or wherever you find space. There is usually a small queue to enter so bear in mind to get there a bit ahead of when you want to start drinking. Perfect for the summer but also recommended in colder seasons. Get something refreshing or a cold beer while waiting for a table.
A true speakeasy in the heart of Palermo Soho. Hidden pretty well behind what would seem like a hardware store this 2-floor house will surprise you with its style and cocktails. Get the Tónico de la Casa and bring home a cute bottle as a memory of a good night out. Prices are slightly high but better spend those pesos here than in a random crappy bar in Plaza Serrano for a Quilmes!
